Cabanas de Tavira’s Promenade is being Built!

Cabanas de Tavira’s Promenade is being Built!

Every time I have been at the promenade it looks differently but today something was really happening – dirt removed, “tings” put into the ground etc. etc.

There were several “monter machnes” and I was not the only one that was attracted to them. I saw many men standing there and just looking.

We can hardly wait to get a posh beach promenade here in Cabanas de Tavira. If you are on facebook and my friend you can see more photos. If you want to add me go to facebook and add me as a friend.

    Hija Susanne,

Leaving for Cabanas next week, any news on the progress of the promenade there, is it a mess or what????

    Hi Dirk,

The Western end is almost finished, sun screens are up, the foot path are done – just a little mess on the road itself.
The Eastern end still needs a lot to be done.

    Hi Dave
    Restaurants:
Cabanas Brasserie, Portuguese kitchen, family friendly and their chocolate mousse is made by a chocoholic and you will most probably get a free Almond liqueur with it.
Rua Ilha da Abóbora (next to the new church)

Casa Algariva, English Kitchen, they serve English breakfast with black pudding and other typical ingredients, Sunday roast, Saturday BBQ chicken €5 and other foods on the BBQ.
The owner has a nice and dry sense of humour.

There isn’t much to see in Cabanas but Tavira is an old village from the times when the Romans where here.
